Central Alberta Pride is extremely proud to present Red Deer's very own rock pianist Curtis Labelle at his Farewell Solo Concert on March 18, 2023 live at the Baymont Inn & Suites.

Curtis Labelle has left his musical footprint on our city for over 20 years. An advocate for the LGBTQ2+ community Curtis has set examples in leadership and inclusion for all. As a teacher he has shared his knowledge with students who are now excelling in their careers, as an artist he has entertained thousands across North America and is engaged with the community as an ambassador to the City of Red Deer, Alberta and is now an honorary Governor to the city of St Thomas Ontario, GVCA Good Vibes Community association. He has shared his gifts and talents to all ages on many stages. Even when there wasn't a stage, Curtis Labelle created it.

As Curtis Labelle comes to his last performance and wraps up his first 40 years of his career, he will be sharing his memoirs, stories, music, tears of joy and love with all the experience and individuals who have been a part of his journey.

Although we are very excited and extremely supportive for Curtis and his new direction in music and his career heading off to Ontario, we are sad to see him depart. Central Alberta Pride and it's members are humbled and thrilled to be presenting this one of a kind performance.

Celebrate PRIDE with Central Alberta Pride Society and the Red Deer Public Library! Join us for Reading with Royalty, featuring our fabulous local queens from Haus of Glitter. Dress up your little royals and enjoy an afternoon with stories, crafts and activities that bring us together in love and friendship and celebrate the freedom to be who we are to celebrate Central Alberta Pride Week.

Stories and activities will be geared to ages 4 to 8 years, but all ages are welcome!

Pre-registration through the RDPL website is required for this event.

Join us as we partner with the Town of Sylvan Lake and Sylvan Lake Tourism for a special beach-side presentation of To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. This free movie event takes place at Centennial Park and will have a small concession. Come early to get the best spot!

Join us for a fabulous night of disco fun at the Eagle Builder Centre. Dust off those roller skates or rent a pair on the night. There will be music, fun, and a ton of laughs! This family-friendly event is all ages and skating abilities are welcome.
Thanks to a grant from the Town of Blackfalds, this is now a FREE event!
Skate Rental will be on a first-come, first serve basis - so make sure you get in early. Limited skate rentals are available, please bring your own if possible!

LGBTQ2S+ history isn't just in the past, it's happening right now. Join Central Alberta Pride Society as we walk through our community history both locally and internationally. This event is livestreamed courtesy of Jo(e) Social Media and the Joe Youth Creative in Lacombe.

Join us at Heritage Lanes for RainBowling with Pride! We've booked the lanes, so all you need is to rent your shoes and come have a great time!

Join us for fun-filled games of bingo, hosted by our fabulous local queens from Haus of Glitter. They'll bring the laughs, the numbers, you bring the dabbers and a few dollars! No cash prizes.
Tickets $40 and include your bingo card and snacks.

We're proud to celebrate our Two-Spirit community by partnering with Wyawâw Awîna Kiskisicik: They Who Remember, a program of Red Deer Native Friendship Society, for a Teepee Raising held at Pimacihowin House. We will learn and grow together, with thanks to and support from our local elders.

Pride in the Park will be held this year in Capstone at the Canada 150 Square in downtown Red Deer.'
